Description:
Child's leather shoe, long tongue, two straps, button missing. Same shoe would fit either food (straight last). Toe is prow shaped, like a boat. Written in ink on side "Pardon Holden's Mother's First Shoe". Belonged to Mother of Pardon Holden ( Mercy Simmons c. 1780), Holden was one of the founders and later President of the Mount Vernon Bank in Foster, RI.
