    Medal from the Society of the Cincinnati, presented to Col. Israel Angell for his service in the American Revolutionary War. Medal is in the form of an eagle with a laurel about his head and below his tail. Oval medallion on eagle's breast on either side.

    Height:2 in x Width:1.25 in
    Research Notes:
    One of the original medals given to the officers of Washington's Army who happened to be present at the Tavern in New York City when Washington took leave of his officers.
