    Three quarter standing portrait of Commodore Esek Hopkins, in naval dress, cocked hat, with a battle scene in background. This format is rare as it is an etching transferred onto glass and reverse painted. Etching includes flag with symbol of snake and the words "Don't Tread Upon Me" as well as a flag with a tree and the words "Liberty Tree" and "An Appeal to God."
