    Portrait of man in clerical garb with a long square collar and dark clothing. He has long wavy hair and is on a very dark ground.

    Research Notes:
    Rev. Belcher (1669-1723) was pastor of the first church in Dedham, MA. He graduated from Harvard in 1690. Rev. Belcher preached in Providence several times, at the First Congregational Church.
