  • Bust length portrait of an attractive woman, wearing her black hair short, parted in middle with one curl across top away from forehead and three diagonal curls on sides of her face. She has dark brown eyes, slender nose, curved lips, creamy white complexion, pink colored cheeks, and is wearing dangling gold earrings and a black velvet ribbon around neck which is held together with a gold coin pin. She is wearing a black dress with a shoulder neckline edged with white organdy lace.

  • Sarah Wilcox Browning was born in Cahues, New York in August 11, 1802, and died in Middletown, Rhode Island on July 22, 1889. She was married to Benjamin Wing Hendrick.
