William Greene was born in Potowomut Neck, Warwick, RI; son of Nathanael Greene (1707-1768) and Mary Mott Greene. Was a merchant in East Greenwich, RI; was active in shipping during the Revolutionary War.
Papers made available in 1940's as part of the "Albert C. and Richard W. Greene collection."
