  • Later curator note identifies item as a reference book used in the Counting House, presumably of Edward Carrington & Co., and as part of the Carrington Papers.
  • Transfered to the Printed Collection from the Carrington Papers (RIHS MSS 333) on unknown date. RIHS copy in original, pale blue, paper binding. Advertising blotter found in book for: Demilt's Astronomical Observatory, 239 Pearl Street, N.Y., Agents for Parkinson & Frodsham Chronometer makers, London. "Longitude"-banner design based on Albro's scrimshaw tooth of the "Ship John Coggeshall of Newport."
