  • Presumably printed shortly after the Gaspee incident, which occurred June 10, 1772.
  • Text in two columns. First line: Twas in the reign of George the Third. Rhode Island Historical Society holds only known copy. Newsbank uses RIHS copy. A (probably intentionally) confusing imprint naming Providence as the imprint place but using ornaments owned by Solomon Southwick, printer of Newport.
  • Before the title, RIHS copy has a manuscript note that reads: "Theodore Foster's", implying he was the unnoted author of this radical work.
  • Preservation and electronic cataloging for this broadside was made possible by a generous grant from the Rhode Island Society of the Sons of the Revolution, the Rhode Island Society of Colonial Wars, the Rhode Island Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, and the General Society of Colonial Wars.
